The Northern Regional Minister, Mr. Bukari Moses Mabengba, has advised the youth to acquire skills that would put them in a better position to acquire jobs in the informal sector.

He said white colour jobs are now hard to come by due to advancement in technology. Mr. Mabengba gave the advice when he paid courtesy calls on chiefs in the Tamale Metropolis.

He said technology had made it possible for the job market to employ few hands.

Mr. Mabengba asked the chiefs to support him to run an effective and efficient administration, devoid of troubles.

The Regional Minister warned that he would not tolerate any act that would undermine unity and retard the progress of the region.

He asked the chiefs to urge the youth to be law abiding and promote peace to facilitate the attraction of investors to the area.

The minister called on the people to have confidence in the government since most of its programmes were on course to improve their lives.

Mr. Mabengba said reconstruction of Tamale Teaching Hospital would start soon while the worse water situation problems would be tackled.
