About 8 students of Christ for All Senior High School in Zebilla have been rushed to the Zebilla hospital following injuries sustained in bloody clashes between Senior and junior students of the school. The clashes left the students, with head wounds and several injuries on their bodies.

The headmaster of the School, Abukari Andrew told Citi News that the clashes started when a senior student punished a junior and used a cane on him.

The junior resisted the punishment, resulting in a scuffle which was initially brought under control. “So it is this morning that we went back to school and started classes but all of a sudden a fight broke out between some seniors and the juniors but we could not stop them so we called the police to ensure law and order.”

He denied reports that some of the students who come from Bawku threatened to bring their weapons from the troubled municipality to fight their colleagues.

The situation has since been brought under control by a joint team comprising the police and the military.
